"The Architecture of Care", opening March 22nd
The Margin of Eras Gallery is excited to announce that we will be partnering with Younger Than Beyoncé Gallery to present The Architecture of Care, an exhibition spanning across three galleries in Parkdale: Feminist Art Gallery (FAG), The Public, and the MOEG.
Connected by YTB Gallery, these spaces will host artworks addressing the role of place-making, the influence of the environment on identity, and how people make Parkdale their home. Walk around the neighbourhood to different sites and see how the selected artists will also explore the ways in which people take ownership of a neighbourhood through instances of care, compassion, reciprocal relationships, tenderness, and resistance.
Artists Yan Wen Chang and Tzazná Miranda Leal will be presenting their work here at the Margin of Eras Gallery, while Kristina Guison, Mani Mazinani, José Andrés Mora, and Diana VanderMeulen will be showing at The Public & Feminist Art Gallery.
The Architecture of Care will be showing from March 22nd to April 21st, 2018, with gallery hours from 12:00pm-7:00pm Wednesdays to Saturday for the duration of the exhibit.
Opening Reception: March 22nd from 7:00pm-10pm
